Course Overview
Honors World History: Beginnings to Present A is the first part of an advanced, two-course sequence that examines the earliest civilizations through the medieval era. This course emphasizes overarching historical themes such as human-environment interaction, the development of societies, the expansion of belief systems, cultural achievements, and conflict. Students engage with essential questions like "Why do we study the past?" and "How has religion transformed societies?" to frame their learning and connect lessons to larger historical contexts.
