Course Overview

Gifted & Talented Science 8 B deepens the study of Earth and environmental science at an advanced level. Students analyze Earth systems, environmental change, and sustainability through complex investigations and independent research. Emphasis is placed on systems thinking, scientific modeling, and evidence-based argumentation.

Key Learning Focus

Students will:

• Explore interactions among Earth's systems with advanced modeling.
• Analyze environmental change using quantitative and real-world data.
• Investigate climate science through deeper inquiry and extended scenarios.
• Evaluate environmental challenges and design innovative solutions.

Instructional Approach

Instruction features independent research, systems modeling, project-based learning, and collaborative STEM problem solving. Students work with authentic scientific data and propose evidence-based environmental solutions.
