Course Overview

Gifted & Talented Science 7 B continues the enriched science pathway with advanced study of chemistry, physics, and Earth science concepts. Students investigate matter, energy, and Earth processes through complex, multi-step problems and open-ended inquiries. Emphasis is placed on abstract reasoning, modeling, and engineering design.

Key Learning Focus

Students will:

• Explore matter at a deeper conceptual level, including particle behavior and interaction modeling.
• Analyze forces, motion, and energy transformations using advanced applications.
• Study atmospheric systems, weather, climate, and natural hazards with real-time data.
• Evaluate human impact on Earth systems through research-based inquiry.
• Engage in engineering design challenges that require innovation and iteration.

Instructional Approach

Instruction features enriched labs, advanced simulations, independent research, and collaborative problem solving. Students tackle high-level scientific investigations and communicate findings using academic language and structured scientific argumentation.
