Course Overview

Gifted & Talented Science 6 B continues the enriched, accelerated study of integrated science. Students engage deeply with complex topics in Earth science, life science, and physical science while applying higher-level analytical and investigative skills. Emphasis is placed on developing scientific explanations, evaluating evidence, and creating innovative solutions to real-world problems.

Key Learning Focus

Students will:

• Investigate advanced concepts in weather, climate, and Earth processes.
• Explore physical science through challenging applications of forces, motion, and energy transfer.
• Analyze ecological systems using real-world data and extended models.
• Apply engineering design to open-ended problems with multiple solution paths.
• Strengthen scientific argumentation and communication.

Instructional Approach

Instruction features complex inquiry projects, independent research, collaborative STEM challenges, and advanced lab investigations. Students routinely engage in tasks requiring abstraction, evaluation, and scientific reasoning.
